Cystic Fibrosis: Xtreme Hike 2018

Updated: Feb 1, 2019

After Greta Frye & Associates, a client, asked REDVYNE to do a feature blog to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, we were hooked! Cystic Fibrosis is an under recognized disease and affects the lives of more than 30,000 people. As part of this feature, I had the opportunity to meet Dallas and his family and what an incredible family they are! You can read Dallas' story here: Cystic Fibrosis: A Day in the Life of Dallas

From the moment I left the Hulen home, I knew I wanted to get involved. This past weekend, I had the chance to meet some truly remarkable people with a similar passion for CF during the Cystic Fibrosis Xtreme Hike at Hanging Rock State Park.

Let the hiking begin!

Talk about a dedicated group! These 17 people were up before the sun, ready to hike 22 miles of an extremely challenging course all in a single day...and if you'll notice, everyone has a smile on their face!

The Cystic Fibrosis - Carolinas Chapter put on a first class event. Chris and his staff went above and beyond to make this a weekend to remember! From the incredible welcome to the stay at the Singletree Lodge to the delicious meals, this group went above and beyond. I feel very blessed that I was able to participate in at least a part of this event. Looking forward to Xtreme Hike 2019!

The "finish line" at the Singletree Lodge after 22 miles of extreme hiking for CF!
